With the purpose of adapting to the new market needs and of promoting a growing sector as is the sector of technical
industrial fabrics, and utilizing more than 25 years' experience in spinning of textile polyester,
SAMCA Group invested heavily in the installation
in BRILEN factory at Barbastro (Huesca) of a
modern plant for production of high tenacity continuous polyester thread in the year 2000. The initial annual capacity of
4,500 tons has been increased to 10,000 tons in 2011. Currently, it supplies this product to the European market in all
its finished versions: parallel, twisted, crimped and textured. With the recent creation of the Technical Support Centre,
formed by a multidisciplinary team of process technicians, experts in raw materials and market research personnel, a
commitment has been made to increasingly greater personalization of products oriented to the particular needs of the end
use, offering support for the development of joint projects with the customers.
The NUREL Company, create in 1966 and acquired
by the Group in 1999, completes the offer of textile fibres with the production of Polyamide 6 and Polyamide 6.6 thread
at its polymerization and spinning plants located in Zaragoza.
NUREL commercializes 7,500 tons annually of polyamide
thread and is consolidated in Europe as one of the leaders in the sector in quality, service and technological innovation.
This position of leadership in the market has been consolidated due to an ambitious investment plan executed by the Group,
both in Spinning and in Warping, with two new Spinning plants placed in operation in 2002 and 2010, and the installation of
the largest draw-warping plant in Europe. |
